Green Appleton Repair Cafe

The last Repair Cafe was on June 6th, from 1 - 4pm at Appleton School. The weather was not kind to us, with the rain pouring down for much of the time. There was also a wedding going on at the church at the same time, but fortunately there was enough carparking space, and nobody got confused over venues - no stray bridesmaids or guests were reported. We moved to the afternoon to try to accomodate those with sporting activities in the morning, but it wasn't obvious that this brought many other people in.
We had some suitably eco children's activities on offer - planting seeds and making bug hotels - and these did see to be popular with our younger guests.
And thanks to those contributing cake. The chance to sit with cake and a cuppa really contributes to the "buzz" of the event, and appeals to everyone, both repairers and visitors.
