Green Appleton Repair Cafe
Good coffee. Great repairs. Better planet.
Our last Repair Cafe was on February 7th 2026, and it was held in Appleton School. The joint venture
was a great success, and opened us up to a new clientele. Hopefully more parents and pupils will come along to future cafes.
We also had the support of the bike repair team from Abingdon Carbon Cutters. This was a great addition, as they not only put bikes in order, they are keen to teach bike maintenance too.
So thanks very much to the school, in particular to Zaheer Ahmed and Kate Griffiths, for having us and sorting out the access, and many thanks to everyone who came, brought their repairs and consumed our coffee and cake.
We also announced the winners of our Photography Competition - see below - so thanks to Clive for judging.
Have a look below for photos of the event and summary stats of what repairs were done, and how much we saved from landfill.
