We are now into our second year of repair cafes, and the next will be out fifth! Time flies when you're having fun. We have learned quite a few lessons over the previous four, not least of which is that there is a constant stream of people needing their tools sharpened. So our thanks go to Roger and Dr Rob for their help here, and for giving us so many happy customers.
Our next cafe will be on October 25th, 10am to 1pm as usual. We hope the weather will be good, as we can then spread out and use the carpark.
Bring and Share
This time we are having a Green Windmill Day in microcosm. Since there has been such a glut in fruit from our various trees, and many people make delicious jam, we are inviting people to bring some of their excess and swap with others in the village. You can also bring "stuff" in general, and let poeople know if you have bigger items you want to get rid of. But PLEASE take home any that haven't been re-homed afterwards. We don't want hours clearing up the hall and endless trips to the dump. It has worked in the past - let's see what happens this time.
